Lots of things have changed in the Crowder House lately......
Hope had to go back to the rescue. Not because I didn't get along with her but the kiddos and even Josh were getting snapped at by her. She wasn't at all what the rescue said she would be. They said that she liked her kiddy pool she didn't. They said she could be around other animals. Turns out she can't and she was supposed to be lovable and sweet. She wasn't.....She seemed happy to be back at the rescue and that's all I can ask for. It's sad because I got along with her well but it isn't just about me.
One a bright note...we got a dog from the Flower Mound Animal Shelter. He is older and named Sparky (like the dog in Frankenweenie). He goes to the vet today to get checked out. He is calm and very patient with the kiddos. He is lovable and doesn't chew on anything and he is potty trained and everybody loves him already. He is a chow mix. We think he is the perfect addition to our family.
On with the reason for the title....
I went to the bathroom (are we seeing a pattern in the children's behavior) and I come out and they are in the kitchen sink. They had gotten the peanut butter jar and the jelly jar. Opened it smeared it everywhere and they were trying to clean up the evidence poorly. Why oh why? They had plates full of lunch untouched. Who decided this would be a good idea? Well I will leave you with this....after changing clothes cleaning their entire bodies I don't think we will be eating PB&J for a long time.
Till next time...........

Technology......
I know this may make me seem old but sometimes I get concerned. Should a 2 year old and a 3 year old know how to pull up Netflix and watch a show all by themselves. Now before you judge and say, "They could pull up something bad how dare you let them do this!" I don't LET them do anything. I am sitting right here watching them do this because it astounds me that they have so much knowledge of a computer. I didn't even know what a computer was at their age. Is technology sucking the creativity and lively hood right out of our children? Are we looking at a future with no conversations and neck problems from children looking down at the closest phone, iPad or other hand held devices?
The pediatrician looks down on me because I let Wyatt use my phone during a doctors visit but come on guys you would too if you were at the doctor with 3 children trying to listen to the doctor and trying to keep them from destroying the littlest room in the world. I let Kelsey and Rachel use my phone too.
Don't worry though folks because Kelsey and Wyatt always have enough time to find something to get into like the ink pen Kelsey found. You know how I know she found it? Ink on her mouth and hands.
Wyatt still has time to sneak into my study and find the jellybeans. Want to know how I know? Jellybean juice running down his (and Kelsey's his sidekick) chin and their chipmunk cheeks. They still have time to climb the DVD rack like a ladder and try to imitate King Kong (it's hilarious and dangerous all at the same time).
Josh and I still read to our children at night and give them lots of love. I still spend time each day doing flash cards with ALL the kids (various subjects for each) and teach Wyatt how to write his name. I'm not perfect and I think you should all know by now that my children aren't either. We yell and cry and throw fits with the best of them out there in the world but we love each other.
I really don't have any point to this post just various thoughts coming out and a little amusement mixed in. Thanks for reading.

Smells like a clean baby's butt.......
So today just a few minutes ago I was upstairs going potty and Wyatt and Kelsey went downstairs. I didn't think much of it except that they were awful quiet. So I decided to go check on them. They had found a bottle of baby powder............do you see where this is going????
They emptied the bottle out all over the downstairs floors but Kelsey always leaves a little on HER FACE so I know which one did the most work.

Not such an angel now is she? I love them anyways and hey the house smells good......even if it does smell like a baby's butt at least it's a clean one right!?!?
Now to go clean up the mess.

This is just a side post. There is a post after this that is the update on the kiddos. Till next time......
It's Been Awhile.........AGAIN!!!
I swear as soon as I say I am going to keep this thing updated life happens and I forget it even exists. The kids are crazy as usual but that's life and I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's see if I can do a quick catch up so we can go on and forget that I haven't updated in forever.
Wyatt fell on the concrete during the Great Pig Escape! Oh wait we have a pig now and her name is Hope. She acts like a spoiled 3 year old girl and has the attitude of a teenager but she is sweet and I love her. Anyways Wyatt opened the front door trying to following Dad outside and Hope escaped. Dad while trying to chase the pig told Wyatt to get back inside. Wyatt ran and tripped over the threshold of the door and smacked his mouth on the concrete floor. (I wasn't home at the time) When I got home I took one look at Wyatt and said, "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY?" A fat lip, bloody front teeth that were loose and I called the emergency after-hours line for the dentist. They said don't worry and to go to the doctor on Monday. Well Monday came and they did x-rays and said that everything looked okay and he would get to keep his teeth unless they died or got infected. i brushed and flossed and kept those puppies EXTRA clean but alas three weeks later at our regular 6 month visit the teeth were dead. So now Wyatt is sans two front teeth and now I call him the Hillbilly. (It's a joke so don't tell me what to call or not call MY child)
Rachel turned 9 years old on August 4. She is beautiful and full of attitude and my angel. She is a 4th grader now and she makes me feel old. She definitely loves to dress up and has her own sense of style which I love and am concerned by sometimes as I am sure my mom was when I was younger. She doesn't get into a lot of trouble and is an awesome big sister. Here is a picture of her.

Okay and Kelsey is crazy like her brother and loves to dress up like her sister. She has recently learned to open doors and loves to open the pantry door and eat things.....weird things like tea bags and dry pudding mix and uncooked rice. It's weird and I have found her on several occasions eating these things under the table. She is still tiny and loves to climb on top of her dresser and jump off. This is a heart stopping moment. I have caught her mid air several times. She is in love with Curious George and can't get enough of it. She hasn't done anything too crazy lately but I know it's coming or I forgot what she did. So I will end this with a picture of all three of the kiddos being silly and sweet. Till next time.........

Happy Birthday
Today 2 years ago Kelsey was born! She literally jumped out of my belly! She is the feistiest little girl I have ever known but also one of the sweetest! I can't believe that it's already been 2 years! Happy Birthday baby girl! You made the decision for no more children a no brainer lol!! Seriously though she is such a blessing from God! I couldn't have made it through some of the hard times I've had if not for her coming along!
Till next time........

Long Time No Post............
So I know that I haven't been posting on here but the kids really haven't done anything worthy of writing down. One of Rachel's best friends passed away so we have been dealing with that. Some days are better than others but she is working through it in her own way. She just got back from church camp on Sunday and she misses that a lot. She bonded with her counselors and loved all of the new friends she made.
Wyatt was doing so well with potty training but alas I jinxed it and he has regressed. Things are starting to get better but I have to follow him around like an untrained puppy because I find little piles of poo in every room. God bless this little boy! He has recently figured out that if he can start to cry and look at me with wide eyes brimmed with tears that he can rule the world. I can't help it he is adorable. He loves dinosaurs and runs around the house telling me he is a t-rex!
Kelsey is well still a bubble full of fury most of the time but she has even been happier most days recently. She is still mischievous and has discovered that she can climb on top of her dresser and jump down. She knows how to make my heart skip a beat! She is about to turn two next week and I am so blessed to have her in my life.
Soon we will become new parents......................to a pot belly pig. Her name is Hope (everyone thinks that we are going to change her name...I like it though). She is a 1 1/2 year, 60lb ball of cuddle according to the rescue. I thought that a pig would be an amazing and very fitting addition to our family. I mean when have we all been normal??? Right.....so I am excited to be making this a family of 6! I may even start a blog or twitter page for her lol!
So not too much to get you caught up on other than my children are the best in the world (i'm biased) and I thank God EVERYDAY for them!
